Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer role at Jacobs. Base pay range: $123,600.00/yr - $162,300.00/yr. This role is available at ANY location in the United States; ideal candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but Jacobs intends to hire the best candidates. The role involves delivering HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients, conducting field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages. Responsibilities
Layout and design of HVAC systems Development of the design criteria for HVAC systems, including general comfort heating and cooling, precise temperature/humidity control, unique pressurization requirements, and cleanliness requirements for clean rooms Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents, including calculations for sizing and selecting systems, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements Development of final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layouts, and final construction documents (e.g., chilled water, cooling water systems) Coordination with other disciplines Qualifications
Professional Engineering License At least ten (10) years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Ability to lead a building mechanical team and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines Preferred/software
Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems Benefits and compensation
Base salary range: $123,600.00 to $162,300.00. Your actual pay depends on location, skills, experience, and education. Health and welfare benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life, 401(k), stock purchase options, and eligibility for plans.
