Overview
We are looking for an experienced, high-energy HVAC Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team within the Advanced Manufacturing Group. You will help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients, performing field investigations, interfacing with clients & vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages. The role is available at any location in the United States, with preference for proximity to a Jacobs U.S. office. Your impact includes delivering cost-effective and transformative projects for markets such as specialty chemical, electric vehicle, manufacturing, metals, pulp and paper, and more, with designs tailored to each market and location. Responsibilities
Layout and design of HVAC systems Development of the design criteria for the HVAC systems, including general comfort heating/cooling, temperature/humidity control, special pressurization requirements, and clean room considerations Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents, calculations for sizing and selecting systems, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements Development of final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layouts, and final construction documents for systems such as chilled water and cooling water Coordination with other disciplines Qualifications
Professional Engineering License At least ten (10) years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely Preferred / Additional Experience
Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this position is $123,600.00/yr - $162,300.00/yr. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
