Overview
Manufacturing Operations - Planner (Supply Chain DC) role at EssilorLuxottica. The Supply Chain Planner is under the EOA Supply Chain Department, reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager, overseeing a lens products portfolio and developing and executing a Master plan and SKU level plan to meet customer demand while balancing service level, inventory, and new product releases. Responsibilities
Establish action plans to support customer demand, inventory plans and manufacturing constraints to ensure SKU balancing and achieve fill rate and backorder objectives, inventory targets, and new product releases. Execute the Master plan monthly and S&OP twice a year to balance US objectives and worldwide inventory and production. Execute and track SKU level plans using DRP or other planning tools on a weekly basis, including placement of requirements to plants and shipment tracking. Analyze backorder root causes and develop action plans to speed up recovery (e.g., faster shipment methods, vendor prioritization) and provide reliable recovery dates. Determine and maintain SKU level attributes such as safety stock and lead times for Distribution Centers (DCs). Monitor actual activities versus plan, including product mix, inventory levels, and actual receipts; review forecast and sales variances with Demand Planners to understand service risks and obsolescence risks. Notify Demand Planners of major discrepancies between orders and forecasts and analyze impact on inventory and fill rate for special customer demand. Manage supply chain planning activities pertinent to timely release of new products and new product setups and attributes; develop launch and replenishment safety stock based on the master plan. Execute and track inventory build to achieve fill rate objectives; develop and maintain effective communication channels. Monitor essential KPIs and develop/correct actions when boundaries are exceeded. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business) or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of experience in Inventory/Production Planning functions. APICS certification is a plus. Extensive knowledge in DRP/MRP systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Extensive experience with Microsoft applications. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with internal/external customers and management levels. Sound judgment and decision-making abilities in a complex environment. Flexibility in work assignments to accommodate group and individual goals. Ability to work with all team members across varying skill levels; strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and perform under pressure. Benefits & Company Information
