Overview

Safran Electrical & Power is a leader in aircraft electrical systems and a key player in electrification of equipment and electric/hybrid propulsion. This role supports production, design, testing and other engineering activities related to MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) products, including aircraft power generation and power distribution components. Job location:

Sarasota, FL . Responsibilities

Advise, direct, and train MRO engineers and personnel in repair and test techniques/methods on behalf of the repair station per Title 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 121 and 145. Review maintenance manuals and related documents to establish repair capabilities per the applicable product standard, FAA or EASA regulations and the established technical evaluation procedures. Develop or guide the development of repair and testing procedures. Create documentation for Operations personnel. Collaborate with Operations and Quality to ensure repair and testing processes comply with Safran Quality documents and return-to-service criteria. Design, modify, and prototype tooling for maintenance and repair of aircraft electromechanical and hydraulic products. Specify, develop and modify test equipment for use on various aircraft components. Continuously improve production efficiency and quality to meet key metrics. Draft and assist in creating major repairs with DER and PMA submittals. Communicate technical data issues to the design authority and ensure updates are completed. Coordinate with offsite engineering teams for support and approval when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Mentor interns and new engineers in all aspects of the position. Regular, predictable attendance is required. Willingness to work overtime as necessary. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or related Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment as an engineer in a regulated industry. Experience with troubleshooting and solving technical problems related to manufacturing and assembly defects. Self-starter, drive for excellence and good organizational skills. Experience with basic tooling including measuring equipment, drawing interpretation and GD&T. Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD package. Ability to collect and interpret data for problem solving. Broad knowledge of fabrication, assembly and test processes, tooling, and equipment. Ability to provide component, assembly, tooling, and equipment cost estimates. Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and computer). Ability to interpret complex information and convey a simplified message to team members of varying technical expertise. Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel. Ability to handle multiple projects with conflicting schedules while maintaining cross-organizational support. Understanding of electrical theory as it relates to product requirements. Good presentation skills. Effective project management and time management skills. Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of aerospace industry experience. Proficiency in electrical design, testing, and troubleshooting. Experience with PTC CREO, CATIA, SolidWorks, Configuration Control, PLM systems, SAP. Fluent French and/or Spanish.
