Overview

Bilingual Full Time Case Manager - Shelter into Rapid Rehousing (SIRR) at Volunteers of America Colorado. This role requires fluency in Spanish and English and works with newcomer families to provide housing-focused case management and support services. Responsibilities

Directly provide service provision and housing assistance for participants in the SIRR program using modalities such as Housing First, Trauma Informed Care, Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, and Critical Time Intervention. Collaborate with the Community Housing team at the Bannock Youth & Family Center. Conduct needs-based assessments and community outreach. Provide case management services, assist with housing navigation, and support housing retention. Connect clients to income resources and/or public benefits; request rental assistance; recruit landlords and mediate as needed. Attend meetings and trainings within the community; coordinate with service providers and multi-disciplinary teams. Accompany participants to appointments as needed; use a personal vehicle for securing and maintaining housing for participants. Maintain documentation in data entry systems and hard copy files in accordance with grant guidelines and data quality standards. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or related field or related experience. Colorado driver’s license and state-mandated automobile insurance. Fluency in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing). Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with current housing market information, housing trends, and available resources. Experience working with the literally homeless population. Knowledge And Skills

Bilingual written and verbal communication in English and Spanish. Strong Microsoft Office and cloud-based application skills. Excellent time-management and prioritization abilities. Crisis and verbal de-escalation intervention skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment; strong organization skills. Other Details

Location: 455 Bannock Street, Denver, CO 80204 Employment type: Full-time Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; some evenings may be required Pay Range: $21.00-$23.00/hr with $1.00 language differential during working hours Working Conditions

Must be willing to use a vehicle for service provision throughout the seven-county Denver Metro area. Works in close proximity to other staff at the Bannock Youth & Family Center. EEO and Other Statements
