Sr. Financial Analyst, SEC at Helen of Troy. This role reports to the Manager of External Reporting and is part of the Corporate Finance Team supporting SEC filings and technical accounting matters for the company’s brands. All employees must be willing to work Eastern or Central time zone business hours. What You Will Be Doing

Assist in the preparation of Form 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and other SEC filings. Support external financial reporting including SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, Proxy, 8-Ks, Form 3s, Form 4s, earnings releases, investor presentations) and press releases. Assist in the electronic filing of documents through the Workiva platform. Prepare footnote disclosures, earnings release financial tables, non-GAAP reconciliations, and investor presentations. Prepare initial drafts of ad hoc SEC filings, such as 8-Ks. Prepare diluted earnings per share and weighted average shares outstanding calculations. Assist with preparing beneficial ownership of Form 3s and Form 4s to be filed with the SEC. Coordinate and update SEC filing drafts through the preparation and review process with input from the external disclosure team. Automate processes and internal procedures for SEC reporting using Hyperion. Assist with quarterly and year-end audits with external auditors to ensure compliance and timely reporting. Serve as a Workiva Financial Reporting System specialist. Provide accounting and policy counsel on global significant, unusual, and complex transactions and events. Participate in special and recurring technical accounting projects as needed. Research accounting and disclosure topics and prepare internal memorandums detailing the company’s approach to evolving financial reporting issues. Maintain and improve financial reporting policies, processes, and controls. Skills and Qualifications

Ability to work with minimal up-front guidance and own projects. Interest in process improvement and creating efficiencies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team while balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with executive presence. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited four-year college or university. 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance. K​nowledge of US GAAP. Public accounting experience or SEC reporting experience within a publicly traded company. Technical accounting research experience. Experience or exposure to Workiva. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). CPA license or a definite plan to obtain one within three to five years. Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Preferred Qualifications

Consumer product/retail sector experience. Experience with Workiva and XBRL. Salary and Benefits:

The standard base pay range for this role is $95,625 – $130,000 annually. This range is specific to certain locations and may vary by location, experience, and performance.
