Under the direction of the Principal and an assigned supervisor, assist the certificated teacher and/or Physical Education Teacher on Special Assignment (P.E. TOSA) in providing instruction in physical education to groups of elementary level students; implement assigned lessons with assigned groups of students; monitor and report student progress. Representative duties include organizing groups and leading physical education learning activities for students; instructing classrooms of elementary students in a physical education program, reinforcing instruction as directed by the physical education teacher or the P.E. TOSA. Provide a safe and productive environment for students to learn; monitor and report behavior of students according to approved procedures; report progress regarding student performance and behavior in acquiring physical education skills. Perform other duties such as clerical tasks that will be compensated at the appropriate rate. Qualifications
Graduation from high school. Demonstrated experience working with children in an organized setting. Completion of CPR and First Aid Training. This position requires a Basic Competency Test; testing schedule is TBD. Additional Information
