The unit collaborates with benefit managers to implement policies and monitors the Fiscal Agents’ performance under contract. The unit supports state and federal audits of MMIS and claims reimbursement, provider enrollment, provider relations and medical benefit coverage. We are onboarding new employees using a hybrid approach. The Department supports flexible work arrangements, with options ranging from hybrid to full-time in the office. This Provider Training Specialist position is responsible for the development, implementation and presentation of a variety of training courses and materials for the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) Fiscal Agent Operations Unit. This position also works with leadership to maintain, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive training program for the provider community and answers live questions during instructor-led training sessions. Training topics include billing procedures, provider web portal, Medicaid programs and training for provider types and their associated claim types. Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
Developing training materials on best practice business process for providers and department staff Editing and reviewing communications and publications including webpage postings Providing support to all areas of Fiscal Agent Operations as needed, including call center, claims, third party liability, financial and provider screening and enrollment, transmittal review approval, and attending meetings Interacting with providers, department staff and the Fiscal Agent to research problems, develop resolutions, track and resolve issues Maintaining, coordinating and implementing training programs to address provider training needs including eligibility, provider enrollment, claims processing, web portal and Colorado interChange system functionality Developing effective training courses, methods and materials Researching, monitoring and analyzing current law, rules, regulations and system operations and incorporating changes into training development Reviewing and editing provider communications such as targeted emails, bulletins and newsletters Assisting with content creation based on provider feedback Residency Requirement

H4I3XX TRAINING SPECIALIST III Minimum Qualifications
There are two ways to qualify for this position: Option 1
– Experience Only: Six (6) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position Option 2
– Education and Experience: A combination of related education and/or relevant experience equal to six (6) years. Education will substitute for the required experience year-for-year as follows: associate = 2 years, bachelor = 4 years, master = 6 years, doctorate/juris doctorate = 7 years Preferred Qualifications Prior state experience related to the duties of this position Experience with Zoom Experience with creating content Experience in technical writing, communications, or publications Experience in Healthcare Definition of Professional Experience: Work that involves discretion, analytical skill, judgment, accountability, and responsibility for creating and applying organized knowledge in a related field.
