Provide medical-surgical nursing care to patients, including monitoring, assessments, and coordination of care on the unit. Utilize telemetry and on-unit monitoring; participate in rapid response/code teams as needed. Perform colostomy care and management, wound care/wound vac, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, IV initiation and maintenance, insulin administration, and post-neurosurgery or ortho-trauma care as appropriate. Administer blood products following applicable protocols and safety standards. Adhere to isolation precautions and oxygen therapy guidelines (nasal cannula, oxygen tanks). Qualifications
Required Certifications: BLS Required Skills: Med/Surg, Telemetry, rapid response/code teamwork, colostomy care, wound care, blood product administration, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, IV start/maintenance, insulin administration, neurosurgery and ortho-trauma care, surgical drains, oxygen therapy, isolation precautions, and related nursing duties.
