Accounts Payable Staff Accountant
to assist in accounting activities at our Avon, NY headquarters. The role includes verifying and reconciling invoices, monitoring payments and expenditures, and maintaining our general ledger systems. Responsibilities
Receive, code, and obtain approval of vendor invoices Make accounting entries for the purchase of grain Maintain accounts payable files and vendor records Perform analytical reviews of key vendor expenses Prepare check runs for both ACH and manual checks Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions Assist in month-end closing tasks Manage the credit card process Assist with compliance tasks where needed Prepare year-end 1099s Talents
Collaborative mindset with a positive attitude High attention to detail and organizational skills Creative problem-solving Commitment to continuous improvement Skills
Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Teams Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems Effective time management and communication skills Exceptional customer service orientation Knowledge
