The role will incorporate assessment care for patientspresenting with uncomplicated wounds. Support and manage health needs ofwomen presenting for cervical cytology consultations. Experience in thisrole would be advantageous but training can be given.
Main duties of the job Primary Responsibilities
Smear procedures
ECGs
Removal of clips and sutures
Wound dressings to include compression bandaging
Vaccinations to include FLU, Shingles, pneumo,RSV
Venepuncture
Whooping cough vaccination
Zoladex/Prostap and similar injections
Housebound visits if applicable

They will ideally have key practicenursing skills and competencies and should also have experience in managingpatients with a long-term condition. Supported by senior nurses within thepractice, you will deliver care within the boundaries of your role, focusingupon supporting patients to be healthy, monitoring of long-term conditions,health prevention and screening activities. Experience of working in primarycare is desirable but we welcome nursing colleagues from all areas of healthprovision.

Relevant nursing/health degree
NMC Registration
Evidence of professional qualifications
Experience working with the general public
Experience working in a healthcare setting

Ability to follow policy and procedure
Polite and confident
Flexible and cooperative
Motivated
High levels of integrity and loyalty
Flexibility to work outside of core office hours
Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
Desirable

Other relevant specialist PN diploma/training Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Family Planning
