Examine patients, diagnose injuries and illnesses, and provide treatment to H-E-B Partners and their families, ensuring high-quality patient-centered care. Work with an integrated healthcare team, focusing on complex chronic care patients to improve health outcomes. Support clinic operations by providing patient care for routine and acute visits. Become an Owner in the company as eligible, reflecting commitment, hard work, quality focus, and customer service. Contribute to comprehensive services that include primary care, health coaching, physical medicine, care navigation, and more. What is the work?
Patient Care: Interviews patients; takes medical histories; assesses health; performs physical examinations; administers injections/immunizations; performs suturing, splinting, casting; manages wounds and infections. Instructs and counsels patients; explains treatments and medications; promotes emotional and physical health and wellness. Obtains and studies medical histories; documents patient and clinic records. Administers or orders diagnostic tests; interprets results; makes diagnoses; prescribes medications and other treatments. Identifies care issues; recommends actions; implements physician directives. Ensures continuity of care; develops and implements patient care management plans. Complies with federal, state, local laws and infection control policies. Develops health care team staff; provides training and educational growth opportunities. Maintains professional knowledge; engages in continuing education and professional associations. Collaborates with clinic staff to improve patient care practices and clinic guidelines/workflow. Ensures adherence to HIPAA regulations. What is your background?
Nurse Practitioner A Master’s degree in advanced practice nursing from an accredited program 3+ years of health care experience Current valid RN license Current, unrestricted State of Texas APRN license Current, unrestricted DEA AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or BLS Instructor Provider card or Physician Assistant Graduate degree from an accredited PA Program 3+ years of health care experience Board Certification by the NCCPA Current, unrestricted license to practice in Texas Current, unrestricted DEA Current BLS certification by an American Heart Association organization What is required to be a fit as a HEB Wellness Provider?
Advanced interpersonal and counseling skills Advanced verbal/written/listening communication skills Strong deductive/inductive reasoning and observation skills People- and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing tasks Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work well as part of a team Physical and scheduling requirements
