Tax - Business Tax Services – Private Tax – Corporate Manager The opportunity: EY Private Tax is a growing practice serving privately held companies, ranging from family-owned businesses to private equity owned companies. You’ll work on a diverse portfolio of technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects and have opportunities to progress to senior manager with ample support and training from experienced colleagues. Responsibilities
Support senior managers through partners in providing tax services, balancing time between compliance and planning, and interfacing directly with clients. Focus on corporate returns as well as provision work, with opportunities to work on flow-through entities (e.g., partnerships). Develop into a trusted advisor and role model across multiple teams to build a diverse network of collaborative colleagues. Prepare or review federal and state tax returns for U.S. corporations and some partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements for cross-border tax compliance (foreign partnerships, foreign corporations, foreign disregarded entities, and foreign affiliate reporting). Provide tax research, draft tax memoranda, and assist in quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services. Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Senior Managers, Managing Directors and Partners. Liaise with other service lines and subject matter professionals to strengthen client service. Build long-term relationships with clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored service. Explain complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients; maintain professional knowledge through ongoing learning. Manage, coach, and develop a team of tax professionals; review work and ensure team members have the tools and opportunities to excel. Identify and respond to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with tax, business, or financial planning experience. CPA certification or membership in The Bar. Prior experience with ASC 740 tax provisions. Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills with the confidence to challenge colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization. Commitment to continuous learning. Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA or Lexis Nexis. Willingness to travel as needed and experience working in a balanced hybrid environment. Experience in managing, coaching, and mentoring junior colleagues. What We Look For

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package; base salary ranges vary by geography. For example, ranges include $106,500 to $195,100, with higher ranges in NYC Metro Area, Washington State, and California.
