Tax - Business Tax Services - Corporate Tax Senior
Location: Anywhere in Country
Base pay range: $82,000.00/yr - $135,200.00/yr
Overview EY Private Tax is a growing practice focused on privately held companies. Clients range from family owned businesses to private equity owned companies and high‑growth private companies. This role offers an opportunity to work on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects and progress to manager.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for U.S. corporations and some partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements.
Provide tax research, drafting memoranda, and quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services.
Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers, Senior Managers, Managing Directors, and Partners.
Liaise and develop relationships with other service lines and subject matter professionals.
Build effective long‑term client relationships and communicate complex tax issues to non‑tax professionals.
Maintain technical knowledge and share best practices.
Identify risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with tax, business or financial planning experience.
Eligibility for CPA certification or bar membership.
Prior experience with ASC 740 tax provisions.
Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills and confidence to challenge stakeholders.
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in professional services or tax organization.
Commitment to continuous learning.
Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA, or Lexis Nexis.
Willingness to travel as needed within a hybrid environment.
