The Operations Assistant is responsible for the proper operating environment of the technical and facilities areas of WBUR. This position ensures that proper service and maintenance procedures are followed and assists the Operations Manager in daily operational tasks. The Operations Assistant independently maintains general station supplies while addressing the daily needs of the WBUR team and station. The hands-on duties of this position vary from facility setup and breakdown for station events, minor facility repairs, daily mail distribution, and the proper installation, maintenance, and inventory upkeep for station equipment. This position is also responsible for making catering arrangements, coordinating repairs for large equipment, and scheduling maintenance for station vehicles. The position responsibilities also include reception desk tasks, including but not limited to - answering listener calls and forwarding to the appropriate group or person, checking the WBUR information email inbox - sorting, routing and responding accordingly, and providing guest building access. Due to the demands of this position, a candidate with a wide range of hands-on experience with equipment and facility maintenance is required.

Qualifications
Vocational or Technical Training required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
At least 1–3 years of work experience
