Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced
Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer
to lead the design and development of high-performance analog circuits in advanced CMOS processes. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in analog and mixed-signal design, hands-on experience with tape-outs, and a strong track record of delivering production-quality silicon for data converters, amplifiers, regulators, and signal-processing ICs.
You will work closely with digital, layout, and system engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of analog and digital components, drive innovation across architectures and methodologies, and mentor junior engineers to foster a high-performance design culture.
Responsibilities
Architect, design, and verify high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits including
amplifiers, ADC/DACs, voltage/current references, regulators , and
signal-processing blocks .
Conduct circuit simulations, layout reviews, and post-layout verifications to ensure performance and reliability across process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) corners.
Collaborate cross-functionally with
digital design, layout, and system teams
to ensure optimal integration and performance tradeoffs.
Drive design reviews, provide technical leadership, and support IP reuse and design methodology improvements.
Perform
bench characterization, testing, and debugging
of prototype silicon; work with the test engineering team to optimize performance and yield.
Research and implement
state-of-the-art circuit design techniques
to enhance speed, power efficiency, and area utilization.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process documentation and team knowledge sharing.
Requirements
M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering , with specialization in
CMOS analog/mixed-signal IC design .
10+ years
of hands-on experience in
analog or mixed-signal IC design
using advanced CMOS and FinFET process nodes (Ph.D. research experience may be considered).
Proven
tape-out experience
with leading foundries and successful transition from prototype to high-volume production.
Strong background in
OpAmps, bandgap references, voltage/current reference circuits, low-noise and low-power analog design .
Proficiency in
EDA and CAD tools
such as
Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys, and Mentor Graphics , with experience in
simulation, layout supervision, and verification .
Solid understanding of
analog/mixed-signal system-level design concepts , including mismatch mitigation, linearity, and stability optimization.
Hands-on experience in
bench validation, debugging, and characterization .
Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a
fast-paced startup or cross-functional environment .
