Overview

This is a Data Center Estimating Professional position within Jacobs' Advanced Manufacturing team, part of the People & Places Solutions business. The role focuses on estimating primarily for Data Centers and supports a variety of client types including industrial, chemical, pulp & paper, general manufacturing, electric vehicles and pharmaceutical facilities. The candidate will develop and execute strategy and plans for estimating activities to support the overall proposal strategy, coordinate with project team members, review requests for proposals or contracts, identify risks, participate in mitigation planning, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff. Responsibilities

Lead and be a technical expert in estimating for data center projects, with involvement across other client types as needed. Develop and execute estimating strategy and plan to support project requirements and proposal strategy. Foster working relationships with project team members to coordinate deliverables to estimating and provide guidance on project deliverables. Review and contribute to interpretation of requests for proposals or project contracts; identify risk areas and participate in mitigation planning. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced design and estimating personnel. Collaborate with Jacobs global teams to leverage design, digital technology, and delivery capabilities. Qualifications

Minimum of ten years progressive experience with increasing responsibility in an estimating role for industrial project execution or a project management role executing industrial projects in the field. Estimating and Construction experience in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines in Data Centers. Experience with Cost-OS, Sage Estimating (Timberline) or similar estimating software platforms. Understanding of estimating organizational structure and processes, including quantity takeoff, crew development, productivity relationships, material quotations, contingency/risk, markup structures and estimate documentation. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management or related technical field (preferred). Professional experience within EV/Batteries or Specialty Chemicals markets (preferred). Proficient in quantitative risk analysis using software such as @Risk and Monte Carlo. Experience with Aspen CCE or other parametric tools. Active membership in AACE, PMI, or similar association. Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this position is $102,900.00/yr - $135,075.00/yr. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. The base salary range within the range is determined by work location and other factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Our health and welfare benefits cover medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the option to purchase company stock. Eligible employees may enroll in deferred compensation plans.
