Overview Arrowstreet is an award-winning architecture, interiors, and experience design firm based in Boston, with over 60 years of expertise. We take a design-forward approach, focusing on sustainability to create thoughtful designs across our diverse portfolio to provide engaging, impactful experiences, and spaces that bring people together. We are experiencing growth and seeking detailed oriented Project Architects to join our team. You will work closely with Partners, Principals, project architects, designers, consultants, and clients to lead the production of construction documents, manage drawing sets, and ensure the design intent is maintained throughout all phases of the project. You should be confident in balancing design sensibility with strong technical skills and team coordination.

Responsibilities

Manage project deadlines, deliverables; ensure execution of projects are on time and on budget

Lead the development and coordination of detailed construction documents that align with the client’s needs, vision, and budget

Support and mentor junior team members; provide feedback and build design and technical skills to assist in their growth and development within the firm

Actively participate in client meetings and coordinate with consultants, engineers, and other team members to successfully create and implement innovative design solutions

Identify and resolve issues or challenges that arise during the design and construction phases, including changes in scope or unforeseen technical challenges

Integrate design excellence with technical precision throughout all project phases

Conduct quality control reviews to ensure accuracy, clarity, and design consistency

Provide technical and design support during construction administration and ensure processes meet high standards of quality, safety, and performance

Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards

Manage document revisions, RFIs, submittals, and coordination logs with an eye toward maintaining design standards

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture

8-12 years of professional experience; well-rounded in all aspects of a project including design, technical details, management, and mentoring junior staff

Experience across multiple sectors including Multifamily, Aviation, and infrastructure

Strong design sensibility with the ability to think both conceptually and technically

Proficiency in Revit; experience with Rhino, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion) is a plus

Solid knowledge of building systems, detailing, materials, and codes

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative, and open environment

Licensed Architect (MA Preferred) or in process of taking ARE Exams
