Human Services Supervisor (Crisis Unit) – Nancy J. Cotterman Center, Broward County Government. Join to apply for the Human Services Supervisor (Crisis Unit) role at Broward County Government. This position provides supervisory and administrative case management in a human service environment within the Crisis Intervention and Support Division – Nancy J. Cotterman Center (NJCC). Base pay range

$70,307.14/yr - $112,209.06/yr Responsibilities

Provide supervisory and administrative case management in a human service setting. Oversee 24/7 Crisis Unit Sexual Assault services, including accompaniment, advocacy, crisis intervention, and referrals to ensure the agency meets accreditation and certification standards. Train, supervise, and manage a team of forensic interviewers, ensuring standard protocols are followed. Oversee program activities and operations; assign work, monitor and evaluate performance; provide case consultation on difficult cases; approve service eligibility; make recommendations for policy adjustments as needed. Ensure staff and consumer safety; provide back-up case management and counseling when needed; review case records for quality and compliance with procedures and requirements. Participate in policy development and performance improvement processes in coordination with the management team. Consult with law enforcement, child protective investigators, and other agencies; may testify in judicial processes as an expert witness and/or provide deposition and court testimony; assist staff with preparation for same. Assist staff with crisis intervention for high-risk consumers; may provide direct services to program participants and their non-offending families or other caregivers. Assist in annual budget preparation for the section and agency; initiate and review requests for goods and services; set operational goals and objectives. Act as a liaison with community organizations to build integrated networks. Monitor clinical or program participant records for quality and compliance with agency and funder standards; review staff use of the agency’s electronic client services tracking system. Assist with accreditation/certification activities and participate in reviews; provide in-service training for staff. Attend staff meetings and training; participate in staff recruitment and related decisions including performance issues and discipline. Work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call hours as required by the agency. Per forms related work as assigned. Minimum education and experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in mental health counseling, marriage and family counseling, counseling education, social work, psychology, gerontology, criminology, management or other closely related field. Two (2) years in social services casework, counseling, and/or related experience, including six (6) months of lead work/supervisory experience. (One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education, depending upon area of assignment.) Special certifications and licenses

Licensures and/or certifications may be required depending on area of assignment. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E Driver’s License and be able to drive on County business. Necessary special requirements

Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call hours to meet agency and client needs. Must be able to pass and maintain a Level 2 background check for the duration of appointment. Preferences

Master’s degree or higher in a related field. Experience working with survivors of sexual violence, child abuse, and human trafficking. Licensure as LMFT, LCSW, LMHC or Registered Intern (Social Work, Mental Health, Family Therapy). Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish, English/Creole, and/or English/Portuguese). Trained and experienced in conducting forensic interviews. Scope of work

Support accreditation/certification efforts and staff training; participate in meetings and recruitment as required. Perform related duties as assigned; may require night/weekend/holiday work depending on assignment. Benefits
