Overview
The Nancy J. Cotterman Center (NJCC) is dedicated to improving and enhancing the quality of life for survivors of sexual assault, child abuse and human trafficking through effective, forensically sensitive interventions. NJCC provides a safe, non‑threatening environment for survivors and supportive family members to assist in matters of public safety and recovery. NJCC is certified as a Sexual Assault Program by the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence and accredited as a Child Advocacy Center by the National Children’s Alliance.

General Description Provides supervisory and administrative case management in a human service environment. Works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in mental health counseling, marriage and family counseling, social work, or other closely related field.
Two (2) years of social services casework, counseling and/or other closely related experience including at least six (6) months of lead work/supervisory experience.
One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education, depending upon area of assignment.
Special Certifications and Licenses Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E Driver's License and be able to maintain authority to drive on County business.
Depending upon area assignment, licensures and/or certifications may be required.
Necessary Special Requirements
Required to work nights, weekends, holidays and on call hours to meet agency and client needs.
Must be able to pass and maintain a Level 2 background check for the duration of appointment.
Preferences
Master’s degree or higher in a related field.
Experience working with survivors of sexual violence, child abuse and human trafficking.
Licensure as LMFT, LCSW, LMHC or Registered Intern.
Bilingual English/Spanish, English/Creole, English/Portuguese.
Trained and experienced in conducting forensic interviews.
Responsibilities
Oversee 24/7 Crisis Unit Sexual Assault services, including accompaniment, advocacy, crisis intervention and referrals.
Train, oversee and manage a team of forensic interviewers ensuring standard protocols are followed.
Oversee program activities and operations; assign work and monitor and evaluate performance; provide case consultation on unusual or difficult cases; approve eligibility for services recommended.
Ensure staff and consumer safety and well‑being are maintained; provide back‑up case management and/or counseling in absence of assigned staff member.
Participate in development of agency and/or program policies, procedures, and work plans.
Consult with law enforcement, child protective investigators and other agencies as required; may testify in judicial processes as an expert witness and/or provide deposition and court testimony.
Assist staff with crisis intervention services for high‑risk consumers; may provide direct services to program participants and their non‑offending families or other caregivers.
Assist in preparation of the annual budget for the section and agency, as requested and operational goals and objectives; initiate and review program office requests for goods and services.
Act as a liaison with community organizations and providers to build integrated networks.
Monitor clinical or program participant records for quality of work and to ensure compliance with agency and funder requirements or standards.
Assist with accreditation/certification activities and provide in‑service training for staff.
Attend staff meetings and scheduled training sessions as assigned; participate in staff recruitment activities and employment related decisions including staff performance issues and discipline.
Work nights, weekends or holidays as required.
Perform related work as assigned.
Physical Demands Perform sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
