Artemis Solutions has partnered with a premier IT firm that is looking for a skilled and customer-focused VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) Engineer to join their technical team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments who enjoys troubleshooting, improving performance, and delivering outstanding end-user experiences. As a
Level II Engineer , you’ll be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues across
networking, applications, and hardware
— and collaborating with senior engineers on more complex challenges. What You’ll Do Provide
Level II
support for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments — including connectivity, performance, and access issues. Troubleshoot
networking problems
such as latency, DNS, VPN/ExpressRoute, and firewall configurations. Diagnose and resolve
application issues
with Microsoft 365, Teams (AVD-optimized), and custom business software. Manage and support
FSLogix profiles , MSIX App Attach, and user container environments. Troubleshoot
endpoint devices
— including thin clients, laptops, printers, scanners, and USB redirection. Document technical resolutions, contribute to internal knowledge base articles, and identify recurring issues for root cause analysis. Collaborate with Level III engineers and cloud specialists for advanced Azure or infrastructure escalations. Assist with
patching, updates, and proactive monitoring
to prevent downtime. Deliver exceptional
customer service
and communicate technical details in user-friendly terms. What You’ll Bring ✅
2–4 years
of IT support experience, including
1+ year
in cloud desktop or virtualization environments. ✅ Hands-on experience with
Azure Virtual Desktop ,
FSLogix , and Windows multi-session setups. ✅ Solid understanding of
networking fundamentals
— TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VPNs, and firewalls. ✅ Strong background troubleshooting
Windows OS
and Microsoft applications. ✅ Familiarity with
endpoint hardware
(thin clients, printers, and peripherals). ✅ Proficiency with
ticketing systems
and
RMM tools . ✅ Excellent
documentation ,
organization , and
customer communication
skills. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) Certifications such as: CompTIA Network+
or
CCNA Experience with
Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager PowerShell
scripting for automation and troubleshooting Familiarity with
Azure Monitor
and
Log Analytics Soft Skills That Set You Apart Analytical thinker with strong troubleshooting instincts Self-starter who thrives independently and in a team environment Clear, professional communicator with technical and non-technical audiences Customer-first mindset with patience and professionalism A Day in the Life Handle tickets escalated from Level I support Troubleshoot AVD session issues (logins, profiles, dropped sessions) Resolve application and connectivity disruptions Support onsite and remote endpoint devices Document findings and update team knowledge base What They Offer Competitive Salary & Benefits
