The Role
Account Executive is the brand ambassador for Green Thumb’s brands in the Northern NJ region. The role requires approximately 75% travel. Responsibilities include mining sales opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with dispensaries, promoting products to increase sales and market share. The position requires a go‑getter mentality, tenacity, and problem‑solving skills.
Responsibilities
Strategize, set, and achieve sales goals and merchandising objectives.
Possess knowledge of cannabis, Green Thumb brands, and product lines.
Educate, engage, and train customers on brands and product mix.
Maintain awareness of market behavior, industry trends, and competition.
Understand the customer buying process and related sales process.
Develop pipelines, targets, and strategies to increase opportunities and sales.
Build and maintain positive relationships with dispensaries and partners.
Proactively build touchpoints to keep sales on track to meet quotas.
Use CRM to collect and share customer information and track activity.
Set suggestive pricing to maintain sales volume and product mix.
Follow sales protocols and SOPs related to state regulations.
Attend trade shows and industry events to stay current with trends and promote products.
Set delivery and order fulfillment deadlines and manage expectations.
Qualifications
2+ years sales experience in an outside B2B environment; cannabis industry experience preferred.
Highly motivated, positive attitude, self‑starter with strong work ethic.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to create sales opportunities.
Team player with effective customer interaction.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Additional Requirements
Must pass background checks.
Must remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for the industry.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry.
Pay Range The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
Green Thumb Pay Range $65,000 — $80,000 USD
