Deer Park Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a motivated and experienced

1st Shift RN Unit Manager

to lead our nursing team during the day shift. The RN Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing clinical care delivery, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. This leadership position plays a vital role in promoting resident health, safety, and satisfaction in our long-term care and rehabilitation environment. Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily nursing activities of the unit during the 1st shift to ensure quality care and compliance with all policies and procedures. Conduct clinical rounds, monitor resident conditions, and ensure care plans are being followed and updated appropriately. Provide direct nursing care when necessary and assist staff with complex or emergency situations. Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to support holistic and effective care planning. Manage and support nursing staff including scheduling, performance feedback, and mentoring. Monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in the EMR system. Participate in admission and discharge planning, care conferences, and staff meetings. Promote infection control, fall prevention, and quality assurance initiatives. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure high levels of satisfaction and resident-centered care. Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (required) Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in long-term care or skilled nursing Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and organizational skills Familiarity with EMR systems and standard computer applications Knowledge of federal and state regulations for long-term care Compassionate, team-driven, and committed to resident-centered care Benefits
