About the Role The Chronic Venous Insufficiency Clinical Specialist (CVICS) promotes commercially approved company products through procedure coverage, proper patient selection through in‑depth knowledge of ultrasound and venous mapping, procedure follow‑up, in‑servicing, and protocol adherence in the US. This role provides clinical education and support and may also support day‑to‑day field execution and the management of Boston Scientific clinical trials at selected trial centers in accordance with applicable SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide ongoing clinical support, which may involve candidacy criteria, procedure support, post‑procedure follow‑up, difficult case management, PI and IFU adherence, and continuing education.

Serve as the primary resource for clinical support in troubleshooting, mapping, and patient follow‑up for company products.

Ensure timely collection and reporting of all required medical documentation related to procedural device operation using corporate tracking procedures and seek input from appropriate personnel to resolve problems.

Follow company and divisional guidelines for managing commercial and investigational product inventory.

Respond to customer needs regarding products and services by developing feasible solutions or collaborating with other related personnel (sales, clinical research, marketing, technical support) to deliver optimal solutions.

Develop relationships with hospital, lab, and office personnel (e.g., through clinical interactions, conversations, and business meetings) and identify key decision makers to facilitate future sales.

Assist in the professional education activities sponsored by BSC by educating customers on the merits and proper clinical use of company products via presentations and demonstrations using a variety of formats and platforms.

Recognize opportunities to present competitive information to support sales activities in the region.

Assume the role of Field Mentor when requested to support the training and educational needs of incoming field personnel.

Evaluate, educate, and hold HCPs accountable for the correct use of BSC/Varithena products in the CVI disease state.

Facilitate the adoption of Varithena through education and awareness with RVTs.

Travel extensively (30–40%).

Assist the BSC medical team, sales force, and management team with continuous learning opportunities related to the disease state and procedure protocols for BSC products.

Maintain current Customer Relationship Management (CRM) records.

Optimize time and efficiency within a large geographic area to maximize impact and results.

Comply with BSC's code of conduct and policy guidelines.

Demonstrate the values of BSC in words and actions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or equivalent clinical certificate.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare field or in the medical device industry as a clinical specialist or equivalent.

Credentialed as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).

Experience assisting physicians with vein procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work independently.

Strong communication skills.

Salary Anticipated annualized base amount:

$70,000 , plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan and core and optional benefits offered at BSC. Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, education, licensure, and certifications.
