The Pharmacy Operations Manager oversees and is responsible for all the day-to-day pharmacy dispensing activities and the basic pharmacy operations to achieve high quality standard of pharmaceutical services for all medication management activities. The pharmacy operations manager participates in the development of standard operating procedures, staff education, policy and procedure development, quality oversight, and compliance with all state, federal and regulatory agencies. The pharmacy operations manager collaborates with other staff, providers, administration, families and visitors to promote safe medication management. The pharmacy operations manager functions as a staff pharmacist when needed. Education
Required Education
— Bachelor’s of Pharmacy Degree or PharmD Preferred Education
Residency Trained, Advanced Degrees Licensure / Certification
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification
— Licensed Pharmacist with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification
— Sterile IV Compounding Certification, advanced pharmacy certifications Experience
Required Experience
— Two years of hospital pharmacist experience Preferred Experience
