The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting functions, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role reports directly to the Director of Finance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform daily accounting tasks, transaction entries and reconciliations. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Process invoices for payment. Participate in accounts receivable collection process. Complete weekly disbursement reports to assist with cash flow. Assist in month-end and year-end closing. Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting. Assist in completing customer, vendor and government applications and profile management. Participate in process improvements and identify areas for greater efficiency. Help ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies. Other accounting-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Degree in accounting or related field. Minimum 1-3 years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles. Demonstrated proficiency with and ability to learn Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive attitude. Employment type
