Overview
Senior Investment Professional / Investment Professional - Securitized Products (ABS). This role sits within Nationwide's Finance department and focuses on leading research, trading and portfolio management activities related to investment grade ABS, CMBS, RMBS, and CLOs across fixed income portfolios. The role may have people leadership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
Portfolio manager responsible for research, trading and portfolio management activities. Identify executable and suitable market opportunities. Conduct transaction analysis including participants, collateral, borrower, structure, deal documents and relative value scenario analysis. Monitor portfolio risk, identify emerging investment risks, and implement risk mitigation actions. Perform portfolio performance attribution analysis. Execute ad-hoc projects, reporting and analysis as requested. Collaborate with other departments on relative value, sector analysis, asset class dynamics and portfolio matters. Develop streamlined reporting and portfolio reports as needed. Lead data management and maintenance; may have people leadership responsibilities. Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced degree and/or CFA desirable. Experience: 8 to 12 years of investment experience. Solid understanding of fixed income and financial concepts; knowledge of economics and capital markets. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. High energy, positive attitude, collaborative and team-oriented approach. Strong written and verbal communication; ability to build constructive relationships. Ability to lead and/or influence people and strategic initiatives. Other Job Details
Role may be an individual contributor or a people leader; reporting to Asset Class Officer level Senior Investment Professional or Head of Fixed Income. Working conditions: Normal office environment; some travel may be required. Overtime eligibility: Not Eligible (Exempt). Location: Must reside within 35 miles of Columbus, OH (One Nationwide Plaza, Columbus OH, 43215). Work schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Benefits and Compliance
