Human Resources Information System Specialist
Role at AlignHR. The HR Systems & Reporting Specialist is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our HR systems, managing records, and generating insightful reports to support data-driven decision-making within the organization. About the Role
The HR Systems & Reporting Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of HR systems and reporting, contributing to the overall efficiency of HR operations. Responsibilities
Administer and maintain our HR Information Systems (HRIS) to include ADP, Cornerstone, Blue Ocean Brian, AwardCo, eVerify, HireRight, etc. to ensure data accuracy, security, and functionality. Accurately input and update employee information, ensuring the integrity of the HR database. Maintain and coordinate physical and electronic HR records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations across all businesses. Generate and analyze HR-related reports to provide insights into key HR metrics, trends, and patterns. Prepare and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports to HR and other departments as needed. Prepare required Saltchuk reports as directed. Run reports, coordinate, and validate data with HR leads on data for employee engagement survey. Produces EEO, VETS and ACA reporting as needed for audit purposes. Administers open enrollment and annual updates to HR systems in coordination with benefits team. Coordinates Central HR communication in partnership with HRD and BU HR teams. Coordinates with recruiting specialist to perform data entry of all new hires and coordinates across IT, Payroll and Finance teams to ensure on-time and accurate payments. Manages referral bonus programs and coordinates payment with finance teams. Review bi-weekly payroll. Manage data feeds and automatic reporting interfaces between HR and Information Technology teams. Conduct routine data audits to identify and rectify discrepancies or inconsistencies in HR data. Continuously assess and enhance HR processes to streamline data management, reporting, and records maintenance. Ensure data privacy and security compliance, including but not limited to data security, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations. Provide training and support to HR, managers, and employees on the effective use of HR tools and systems. Qualifications
Experience in HR systems, reporting or similar support role. Familiarity with HRIS systems, tools, and processes. Strong interpersonal and professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decisions. High level of discretion and confidentiality. Excellent organization and time-management abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple levels in the organization. Passion for results and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to understand, interpret and assess relevant labor laws and regulations for legal compliance. Familiarity with payroll and timekeeping systems. Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience), preferred. Certification: PHR preferred.
