Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will work directly with the Controller and Senior Accounting Manager to manage key financial functions, ensuring accurate reporting, reconciliation, and journal entries. Key Responsibilities: Assist with general ledger management, ensuring accurate and timely entry of financial data. Prepare journal entries to support month-end and year-end close processes. Perform detailed reconciliations of bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and other financial accounts. Assist with financial reporting by preparing statements and schedules for management review. Work closely with the Controller to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts as required. Assist with year-end audit preparation and provide necessary documentation to auditors. Ensure accurate recording of inventory, fixed assets, and other key accounting functions within the manufacturing environment. Maintain accurate records and files in accordance with company guidelines. Preparing and maintaining Accounts Payable reports, including AP Aging schedules, Cash Disbursement files, and monthly AP files. Reconciled Accounts Payable subledger to the General Ledger monthly to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Managed weekly payment runs, including ACH transfers, wire payments, and check processing, ensuring timely payment to vendors. Collaborated with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and account reconciliation issues. Supported month-end close processes by preparing journal entries and reconciling AP-related accounts. Journal bank debits and reconciling bank accounts to general ledger Reconcile intercompany accounts Knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems and reporting Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, or recent graduates with relevant internships or certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA). Strong knowledge of general ledger management and accounting principles. Experience with reconciliations and journal entries. Familiarity with financial reporting and preparing statements for management. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Familiarity with ERP systems or accounting software (experience with manufacturing software is a plus). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Desired Attributes: Proactive problem solver with a commitment to continuous improvement.
