This position is a hybrid role that requires in-person visits to our Ida Grove, Iowa office, on a semi-monthly to monthly basis. The selected candidate will play an important role in growing our Ida Grove office and strengthening our technical capabilities while collaborating closely with our engineering team. This position offers excellent opportunities for professional growth. Although based in our Ida Grove, IA office, a hybrid (in-office and remote) work arrangement may be considered for the right candidate. Responsibilities
Design and drafting using 2D & 3D AutoCAD/Autodesk software and Smart Electrical & Instrumentation Design/Engineering tools. Comply to and contribute to the continuous improvement of company design workflows, processes, and procedures, including participation in design checks and reviews. With training, travel to job sites across the U.S. to conduct audits, assess electrical/control system requirements, and assist with on-site commissioning. Develop Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, instrumentation datasheets, single-line and three-line diagrams, power distribution drawings, block diagrams, control system designs, and panel designs (MCCs, motor starter cabinets, VFD panels, PLC panels, power distribution panels, lighting panels, junction boxes, network cabinets, etc.). Create layouts, wiring diagrams, lists, and schedules, including motor lists, instrumentation lists, and cable schedules. Ensure compliance with certified panel shop requirements. Qualifications
An Electrical Technologist qualification from a recognized institution with two to five years of experience as an Electrical and Instrumentation Designer is preferred. Equivalent work experience may also be considered. Required Skills
Strong understanding and application of UL standards and other relevant regulations, codes, and standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Autodesk 2D/3D software. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Compensation Package
