Oracle
Organizational Overview
Oracle Cloud continues to drive innovation across the infrastructure and cloud services space, empowering enterprise customers worldwide through automation, scalability, and security. The Infrastructure Engineering Services (IES) Data Center Network Engineering team plays a foundational role in this mission delivering enterprise‑grade network services that power Oracle’s most critical workloads across OCI and OHAI platforms. IES Data Center Network Engineering is comprised of two highly collaborative and specialized groups: Network Strategy defines the strategic direction, standards, and future‑state vision of the data center network. Network Implementation Engineering, which implements, maintains, and supports the network infrastructure across our US‑based and global data centers. This role will lead the Network Implementation Engineering group, reporting to the manager of Data Center Network Engineering.
Intro and Description of the Role The IES Data Center Network Engineering team plays a critical role in maintaining a robust and highly available infrastructure that span US and global centers for both IES and OHAI environments. The team’s responsibilities span across core routing and switching, advanced fabric technologies, and network automation, while also managing monitoring, security, and full lifecycle management of hardware and software, including structured upgrade programs from Layer 2 through Layer 7. The team's work underpins network operations, engineering, architecture, and automation for several cross‑functional teams, ensuring a smooth and scalable network environment.
One of the team’s core priorities is the migration of Cerner and OHAI tenants to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). As the Senior Manager of Network Engineering, you will lead a team of highly skilled network engineers focused on the delivery, support, and optimization of data center infrastructure at scale. You will be responsible for building a culture of technical excellence, operational discipline, and accountability. Your team will drive major upgrades, platform refreshes, and migration effort all while supporting site uptime, reducing incident noise, and maturing engineering hygiene. In addition, you will oversee the structured execution of lifecycle management programs spanning proactive patching, vulnerability remediation, and multi‑layer software upgrades across routing, switching, security, and application delivery platforms.
This role requires a strong engineering mindset, people leadership capabilities, and cross‑functional coordination skills. You will partner with strategy, architecture, software, compliance, and program management teams to execute a reliable and secure infrastructure roadmap while keeping a sharp eye on live site health and operational excellence. If you are passionate about engineering at scale, leading high‑impact teams, and transforming operations through automation and data, we want to hear from you.
Ideal Candidate Are you energized by tough challenges and inspired by the opportunity to lead transformation in a complex, global environment? Do you value structured thinking, mentorship, and continuous improvement? Are you someone who believes that reliability is achieved through prevention, planning, and precision execution?
