Position Details Location: Facilities Department, Community College of Aurora
Full-time position providing ongoing and preventative maintenance for buildings and grounds, ensuring efficient, quality service for staff, faculty and students. The role operates a variety of equipment and tools to maintain campus buildings across multiple trades, including light carpentry, painting, drywall repair, hanging bulletin boards, whiteboards and pictures. Responsibilities include HVAC assistance (filter changes, coil cleaning, greasing motors, belt changes), minor adjustments to the building automation system, electrical maintenance, plumbing troubleshooting and repair, assembling and moving office furniture, large event setups, snow removal and entryway sweeping. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word) and ability to read/respond to emails is required. The position may require operating state vehicles and working collaboratively with the team.

Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in the structural trades to include carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing and HVAC. Do not use "See Resume" on your application; provide detailed description of relevant work experience. (Part-time experience will be pro-rated.)
OR
Education And Experience: Successful completion of a formalized apprenticeship program or higher-level coursework from an accredited vocational or trades school may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Submit transcripts with your application; redact age-related information.
Conditions of Employment:
Valid Colorado driver’s license to operate company vehicles and equipment; pre-employment background check including Motor Vehicle Report (MVR); ability to perform essential physical exertion (up to 100 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, up to 20 lbs. constantly) and to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, finger, talk, hear, and perceive depth. This level of physical exertion is required for consideration.
On-Call and Physical Requirements Position is on-call to perform essential and/or emergency services without delay and/or interruption.
Benefits and Pay Differentials
Shift differentials: 7.5% (evening), 14% (night), 20% (weekend) as applicable; regular rate when work hours fall outside differential windows.
