Overview
A Senior Electrical Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This is a senior-level Electrical Engineering position responsible for leading the design, development, and evaluation of complex electrical systems for Department of Defense and USAF projects, requiring expertise in power system analysis, technical design, and collaboration with a project team. Responsibilities
Conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine project scope. Lead the design, development, and modification of electrical components. Prepare designs, studies, drawings, calculations, and specifications. Perform power system analysis modeling and calculations using ETAP for load flow, short circuit, motor starting, relay coordination, and arc flash. Perform other facility calculations, including lighting design (AGI 32) and ground grid sizing (ETAP). Coordinate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines and specialty groups. Provide technical assistance and mentorship to junior electrical engineers. Interact with project functions, customers, and regulatory agencies. Apply standard electrical engineering methods, techniques, and procedures. Prepare conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals. Support project and construction management with electrical requirements. Skills
Electrical systems for nuclear or industrial process facilities, data centers, central utility plants, or complex buildings. Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulatory guides. Strong understanding of engineering drawings, system calculations, and equipment sizing. Strong knowledge of power systems load modeling and analysis. Experience with Microsoft Office. Ability to utilize engineering and office automation tools. Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent). 5-8 years of relevant work experience. Qualifications
