Responsibilities
Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer fired equipment suitable for design needs to achieve reliable, cost-effective, and efficient operation. Prepare equipment cost estimating and manhours for FEED and Detailed Design phases. Prepare fired equipment data sheets and technical specifications for bid and purchase. Perform bid clarifications/meetings with bidders and prepare technical bid evaluations/summaries for equipment. Participate in client project meetings and coordinate with the fired equipment team. Participate in design and model reviews, HAZOP reviews, constructability reviews, etc. Develop construction sub-contracts for fired equipment and other mechanical equipment. Participate in on-site start-up and commissioning work on an as-needed basis. Attend pre-inspection meetings, inspections, and testing on fired equipment in vendor shops.

The Mechanical Engineering Department is a global team delivering high-quality, on-time design and services projects in power, gas, fuels & chemicals, water and wastewater, data centers, and mining, including related mechanical aspects of Process and Power projects (e.g., HVAC, Piping, Fire Protection, etc.).
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications Experience in industries such as power, LNG, gas processing, mining, manufacturing, and water treatment. Experience executing projects from concept through detailed engineering to start-up and operations support. Ability to read detailed drawings and interpret technical information. Material and component selection of fired equipment and auxiliaries and complex packaged systems. Fired equipment troubleshooting and small services engineering projects. Experience in shop inspections of engineered equipment. Experience writing ASME and API overlay specifications. Familiarity with codes/standards: ASME Code Sections I & VIII, NFPA 85/86/87, EPA emissions regulations and test methods, API 521/537/560 and related standards, API 573/936 for inspection and assessment.
Minimum qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience; minimum 5 years of related work experience; active engineering registration/licensure to support engineer of record requirements as applicable.
Work Environment and Schedule
Office environment with potential for on-site visits; may involve physical tasks during site work. Hybrid or flexible options may be offered after 90 days based on manager discretion and performance.
