Overview
A private credit firm is seeking a driven and skilled Senior Associate or AVP to join its investment team in Dallas, TX focused on restructuring and workouts. This individual will play an integral role in protecting and maximizing value across underperforming or distressed portfolio companies. The ideal candidate brings 4–6 years of relevant experience, strong analytical and modeling capabilities, and the confidence to work directly with management teams, boards, lenders, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Modeling: Build, sensitize, and evaluate complex financial models to assess company performance, liquidity, and capital structure outcomes; conduct cash flow forecasting, valuation work, and operational/financial diligence; perform recovery and downside analyses; partner directly with portfolio company leadership to drive turnaround and restructuring strategies; participate in and/or lead board-level discussions and status updates; support development and execution of comprehensive business plans and restructuring roadmaps. Capital Structure & Legal Process Management: Analyze capital structures, creditor rights, and intercreditor dynamics; support negotiations and documentation of restructuring agreements, amendments, and related legal steps in coordination with internal counsel and external advisors. Internal Reporting & Investment Committee Support: Prepare high-quality investment memos, board presentations, and regular portfolio updates; present findings and recommendations to the investment committee and senior management as needed. Qualifications
Experience: 4–6 years of restructuring, distressed investing, turnaround, or related experience at a top-tier investment firm, restructuring advisory practice, or investment bank. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA and/or CFA a plus. Why Apply
