Overview

Lecturer in Finance and Accounting at The City College of New York, City University of New York. The position begins in Fall 2026 and is teaching-oriented. The Department of Economics and Business is launching a new BBA degree program and seeks experienced lecturers who can teach a broad range of courses in finance and accounting for undergraduate and graduate students. Responsibilities

Teach a broad range of courses in finance and accounting such as introduction to finance, accounting, financial analysis and decision making, corporate finance and economics of investments at the introductory and intermediate level. Teaching may include specialized field courses in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related fields. Participate in program assessment, curriculum design, and student mentoring. Serve as a full faculty member of the Economics and Business Department, the College, and the University. Engage in service on committees and contribute to projects related to teaching and learning. In the fifth year, lecturers are eligible for promotion to a Certificate of Continuous Employment based on teaching excellence and service. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in area(s) of expertise; Master’s degree and/or PhD in Finance or Accounting preferred. Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to teach students from diverse racial, ethnic, linguistic, and educational backgrounds Creative curriculum and assignment design Active, student-centered pedagogy and student mentoring experience Effective use of technology to support teaching and learning Excellent teaching and peer classroom evaluations Compensation

$95,302 - $101,737. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
