Overview
A top-tier international freight forwarder is seeking a Customs Global Account Manager to oversee multinational import and compliance programs across key global customers. This position requires deep technical knowledge of U.S. Customs procedures, global trade regulations, and the ability to coordinate high-volume accounts across multiple regions and trade lanes. Responsibilities
Manage large global import clients with multi-country customs activity and complex compliance requirements. Ensure all entries and post-entry activities are compliant with U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGA). Advise customers on HTS classification, valuation, free trade agreements, and duty optimisation strategies. Serve as the main client liaison between customs operations, trade compliance, and account management. Conduct quarterly business reviews, analyse KPIs, and develop process improvements for key accounts. Support audits, post-entry amendments, binding rulings, and compliance reporting. Lead communication with overseas offices to align on global SOPs and service delivery standards. Identify and implement trade automation or digital compliance tools to improve data accuracy and transparency. Requirements
Minimum 7+ years’ experience in customs brokerage, import compliance, or global account management within a licensed freight forwarder. Active U.S. Customs Broker License preferred (not required). Expertise in HTSUS, ACE, and PGA requirements. Strong background managing enterprise-level customers and multinational compliance programs. Proficiency in CargoWise, Descartes, or similar customs and TMS platforms. Excellent analytical, client-facing, and leadership skills. Compensation and Benefits
Compensation:
$95,000 – $125,000 (DOE) + annual bonus + performance incentives Base pay range:
$90,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr Benefits:
