and play a key role in shaping how we deliver strategic HR support to our clients. About the Role As a Senior HR Business Partner at SustainableHR, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to our client organizations, delivering strategic HR guidance, compliance expertise, and practical people solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with our internal payroll, benefits, and compliance teams to ensure clients receive a seamless and high-touch HR experience. The ideal candidate is consultative, adaptable, and passionate about helping businesses build strong teams and positive cultures. This role reports directly to SustainableHR leadership and includes occasional client travel (typically 2–3 days per trip, with overnight stays). Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned SustainableHR PEO clients, providing proactive, strategic HR support. Advise client leadership teams on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategies. Guide clients through employee relations, performance management, and compliance matters. Develop and refine HR policies, handbooks, and training programs. Ensure compliance with employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, wage/hour, etc.). Partner internally with payroll, benefits, and compliance teams to deliver unified service. Analyze HR data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations for clients and internal leadership. Support onboarding and implementation for new SustainableHR clients. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a consultative or business partner role. Prior experience within a PEO, HRO, or multi-client HR service model strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of HR best practices, compliance, and employment law. Excellent communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred. Willingness to travel occasionally (2–3 days per trip).
