The Senior Account Manager, Beauty Communications will craft and deliver innovative media and communications strategies that support client business objectives. The role is a senior lead for Karla Otto US and the Global Beauty & Wellness Division, contributing to new business in the US market. The candidate should have strong knowledge of global beauty trends, PR, influencer marketing, and the wider luxury culture landscape, with well-established relationships across beauty media, editors, influencers and brands. Key Responsibilities
Support team to ideate and develop innovative communications strategies that execute a brand’s vision Work with clients to develop compelling PR programs that drive brand awareness and purchase behaviour Serve as day-to-day account lead delivering exceptional client service Develop and deliver a deep understanding of each client’s brand, ethos and value proposition Maintain ongoing senior-level contact with key beauty directors and editors at major publications and websites Support the team in developing pitch calendars aligned with editorial focus and brand strategy Proactively outreach to key beauty editors to secure coverage, features and news items Pitch and secure high-level editorial features and founder profiles Stay ahead of beauty, wellness, digital and cultural news to advise clients on opportunities and strategies Lead brainstorms for client profiles and features Develop, write and edit PR materials and obtain client sign-off Introduce innovative ideas for strategies, events, mailings and activations Collaborate with Talent team on building a database of beauty & wellness influencers and professionals Compile monthly media status reports and monitor progress Oversee event management from concept to execution Support team in new business development, including RFP processes Ensure positive communication with clients and international Karla Otto offices Oversee sample ordering and replenishment Able to lead, encourage, mentor and develop junior staff Key Attributes
Minimum 7 years’ experience, agency experience preferably handling multiple prestige beauty brands Bachelor degree in advertising, PR, marketing, communication or related field Outstanding communication skills including strong written, visual and verbal presentation skills Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines Strong relationships with US beauty & wellness media and influencers Knowledge of affiliate strategies used by media houses Excellent knowledge of the beauty & wellness industry, trends and history Confident to secure high-level editorial placements Deep understanding of beauty & wellness across traditional and social media (Instagram, TikTok) Highly creative and engaged with contemporary culture and trends Sets goals, monitors plans and prioritizes tasks effectively High level execution skills with meticulous attention to detail Ability to lead projects without supervision Ability to train and direct junior staff Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools What We Offer
