Location A high-desert refuge in America’s land of enchantment. Santa Fe offers a romantic setting on 57 rolling acres with easy access to downtown. The Rancho Encantado resort features 65 rooms and provides opportunities for hiking, spa experiences, and elevated regional cuisine.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the catering sales, events, and conference services team to deliver exceptional service for meetings, events, and weddings.
Promote the resort as the top choice for meetings and events in Santa Fe and the surrounding area.
Coordinate with Banquet and Culinary operations, providing coaching and feedback to ensure service excellence.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, planners, and within the Santa Fe community.
Prepare accurate written correspondence including letters, contracts, and reports; oversee Banquet Event Orders.
Analyze and prepare the weekly catering and conference services forecast and financial summaries; assist with the annual marketing plan and budget.
Demonstrate integrity, transparency, and professionalism; maintain flexibility to adapt to changes and resolve issues.
Maintain a professional appearance and approach with guests and vendors via phone and in person.
Ensure events run smoothly by coordinating with internal teams and external partners as needed.
Qualifications
5+ years of hotel catering-related experience, preferably in luxury settings, with leadership, supervision, and staff direction responsibilities.
Proven track record in selling weddings, social, and corporate catering events.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with guests, vendors, planners, and the local community.
Excellent organizational, time management, and written communication skills (e.g., letters, contracts, reports).
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
High level of integrity, accountability, and a team-oriented attitude.
