We are looking for an associate mental health therapist to join our team. We are a well-established group practice that is growing and dedicated to helping clients integrate to become whole again. Responsibilities

Provide effective psychotherapeutic treatment for clients experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, existential search for meaning, family and relationship issues, and those seeking deeper self-awareness.

Maintain high-quality clinical documentation of sessions.

Manage a growing caseload with an expected minimum of 10 clients per week within six months.

Maintain a flexible weekly schedule, including Friday (and Saturday as needed).

Participate in weekly clinical supervision with the A Place To Turn clinical team.

Collaborate within a team-oriented, holistic environment and support startup culture.

Rely on A Place To Turn, Inc to handle billing, credentialing, client referrals, and office space.

Develop trust and rapport with clients quickly.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.

Registered associate with the CA State Board of Behavioral Services as A-MFT, A-CSW, or A-PCC.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and punctuality.

Ability and interest in integrating spiritual practices (e.g., Buddhism, Mindfulness) into therapy.

Ability to use computerized scheduling for client management, internal communications, and fee collection.

Proof of malpractice insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

Desire to work in a private practice setting where your voice is heard.

Interest in gaining experience with trauma, mood disorders, addiction, families and couples.

Willingness to grow into a part- or full-time position.

Education and Experience The ideal candidate will possess a degree in one of the following disciplines: Master of Social Work (MSW), Master of Clinical Social Work (CSW), Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC), or a related discipline.
