The Certification Engineer is responsible for ensuring that activities of certification projects conform to the company quality system procedures and work instructions as documented. Define and coordinate certification requirements internally and with regulatory agencies and customers across all project phases, and prepare and maintain high level certification project documents. Work closely with the Director of Certification, the Customer, Engineering, Program Management and Quality Assurance to ensure design packages meet FAA and EASA requirements (as applicable). Indirectly responsible for implementation and maintenance of certification department procedures and work instructions. Directly responsible for generation of all project-specific certification documentation that is assigned. Report on the performance of certification activities to ensure conformity inspections and documentation are planned and accomplished, and that all project conformity records are submitted for review and approval. Provide input on project budgets for projects. Coordinate with the Director of Certification and FAA designees (FAA Projects). Coordinate with Office of Airworthiness and EASA designees (EASA Projects). Actively work with quality assurance disciplines to ensure conformity inspections and documentation are planned and accomplished, and that all project conformity records are submitted for review and approval. Qualifications

A four year technical degree or a minimum of 6 years of industry experience in aircraft certification. Strong knowledge of FAA Certification Procedures, FARs, and the commercial aviation certification process. Skills/Abilities: Microsoft Office proficiency; strong verbal, technical writing, and written communication skills for internal company, customer, and authority interactions.
