MDA is seeking an Analog Modeling and Simulation Engineer. This position will serve 100% on-site in Beavercreek, OH. This position will be filled at either the Principal Analog Modeling and Simulation Engineer or Senior Principal Analog Modeling and Simulation Engineer level based on the qualifications below. Tasks Will Include Some Or All The Following Apply your skills as design engineer while learning about superconducting technology including NG’s patented Reciprocal Quantum Logic (RQL). Invent new circuit solutions and topologies utilizing superconducting Josephson Junction (JJ) devices. Design, layout and verify custom integrated circuits in NG superconducting technologies. Work with high-frequency simulation and Multiphysics software tools such as ANSYS (HFSS/Maxwell3D), ADS (Momentum), COMSOL, etc. Collaborate with subject matter experts, product owners, and other team members to develop, document, and propagate best practices. Develop execution plans and advocate for the implementation of tools for emerging simulation needs. Basic Qualifications For Level 3 Bachelor of Science STEM degree with 5 years of experience in RF, Analog, or Mixed Signal Circuit design; or Master of Science STEM degree with 3 years of experience in RF, Analog, or Mixed Signal Circuit design Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso or similar IC design software Working knowledge of the IC design flow including schematic capture, simulation, and layout. Strong understanding of RF network and resonator transmission line theory. Understanding of fundamental principles of finite element analysis. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in simulation tool development, verification, and loop closure comparison to test results. This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. Citizen. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance per business requirements. Basic Qualifications For Level 4 Bachelor of Science STEM degree with 8 years of experience in RF, Analog, or Mixed Signal Circuit design; or Master of Science STEM degree with 6 years of experience in RF, Analog, or Mixed Signal Circuit design Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso or similar IC design software Working knowledge of the IC design flow including schematic capture, simulation, and layout. Strong understanding of RF network and resonator transmission line theory. Understanding of fundamental principles of finite element analysis. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in simulation tool development, verification, and loop closure comparison to test results. This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. Citizen. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance per business requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience with RF/microwave circuit design and proficiency with ADS suite of tools. Microwave engineering background; understanding of s-parameters and impedance matching techniques. Proficient use of at least one of the following software tools for linear and nonlinear circuit characterization: ANSYS (HFSS/Maxwell3D), ADS (Momentum), COMSOL, etc. 2D and 3D Electromagnetic modeling experience with commercial tools such as ANSYS (HFSS/Maxwell3D), COMSOL, Momentum, etc. Analog/RF, EMI/EMC PI signal integrity experience. Experience implementing filters and low-noise techniques for noise-critical blocks such as LNAs and mixers. Programming experience with Cadence SKILL or Python. Salary Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Bonuses may be awarded for individual contributions and company results. Some roles may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
