Corebridge Financial . Who You'll Work With You will be working with Head of Data Management & Strategy. About The Role
Drive enterprise data governance: design, implement, and evolve governance frameworks, policies, standards, controls and processes such as data quality, metadata, master data management policies and standards, data classification schema and related processes and controls Lead and grow our governance ecosystem: partner with business and technology teams to identify and publish data domain definitions and relationships, data owners and data stewards Champion governance forums: convene and drive decisions across the Data Governance Committee. Ensure data quality & controls: partner with data stewards to define CDEs, implement monitoring, establish root-cause remediation pathways. Align strategy & regulatory requirements: integrate governance with strategic priorities, compliance standards, and emerging regulations (e.g., AI Governance, Responsible AI). Manage data governance program delivery & ROI: maintain program business cases, roadmap, and measure governance impact. Enable culture & innovation: partner with innovation teams and embed governance into change initiatives and data culture. Skills And Qualifications
Bachelors in business, Data Management, Information Systems, or equivalent. Preferred: MBA or master’s in information management, Data Science, or related field. Minimum 10 years in data management and governance. At least 5 years implementing enterprise-wide governance frameworks. Prior experience in financial services or insurance strongly preferred. Deep understanding of implementing data governance policies, standards, controls and processes (experience in establishing AI governance standards is a plus) Proficiency with data catalog, MDM, data quality, and metadata tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including metrics and ROI tracking. Excellent communication—capable of influencing cross-functional executive audiences. Collaborative mindset with experience leading cross-functional governance adoption. Deep understanding of data governance trends, standards, and regulatory landscape. Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $132,000 to $250,000 at the commencement of employment. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications. Work Location
This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Jersey City, NJ and Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely. Estimated Travel
