The Senior Imaging Systems Administrator is responsible for leading and coordinating the operational resources related to Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and all Imaging Systems technology initiatives. Serves as liaison between IT and Radiology as well as Emerus and JV partners for imaging system's needs. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, required Basic competency with Windows Server OS Basic competency with Windows Server 3+ years experience in a radiology department, required PACS or RIS system experience, required Epic Radiant, Cerner RadNet, and Philips iSite experience, preferred CIIP a plus Essential Job Functions
Serves as the lead Imaging Systems Administrator with responsibilities to ensure that all work efforts for the supported systems are coordinated and supported by the Imaging Systems Administrative staff. Ensures cross training among the Imaging Systems Administrative staff to allow for adequate knowledge and coverage of system support across the organization. Acts as a liaison in all digital-imaging initiatives for Emerus. Monitors and directs system configuration and maintenance as well as support of day-to-day image workflow, archiving, auto routing, prefetching, Imaging System integration and other related activities as new systems may be acquired and require integration. Coordinate integration of all peripheral equipment and related systems. Participate in strategic planning for medical imaging initiatives. Participate in the development of annual operational budget relative to PACS and RIS initiatives. Develop operating standards, policies and procedures for PACS and RIS operations in a collaborative effort between IT and Radiology. Coordinate and prioritize all PACS and Radiology Information System (RIS) projects by coordinating resources and ensuring maximum integration of related systems. Oversee activities of vendors in all phases of installation and implementation of new systems as related to PACS and RIS. Test software upgrades, patches, interfaces, reports and fixes. Coordinate testing efforts and obtain user sign-off on testing results to facilitate move to production, while ensuring users are educated regarding changes. Adhere to organizational wide IT change management, project management, security and all other IT technology standards. Coordinate system downtimes to minimize operational impact while ensuring appropriate coverage and assistance is available. Coordinate training activities as needed. Attend seminars and training sessions necessary to maintain appropriate level of professional competence. Provide support to Emerus staff as well as referring physician and JV staff during business hours and ensure adequate coverage is available for assistance outside of business hours. Initially triage all problems reported by end users. Ensure a process is in place 24 by 7 for triage and application support. Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and teams. Participate in supporting the vision, mission, and core values of Emerus and adheres to its Standards of Behavior. Other Job Functions
