The Role We are looking for a highly organized and analytical analyst to lead risk assessment and recovery planning efforts. This role identifies vulnerabilities in critical business functions, develops disaster avoidance and impact reduction strategies, and ensures the organization is prepared for disruption. What You'll Do : Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify vulnerable areas within the company’s critical functions. Recommend and implement disaster avoidance strategies and impact reduction strategies. Gather and interpret data for use in risk assessments or business impact analyses. Develop and establish disaster recovery procedures for the restoration of mission-critical applications in events such as natural disasters, technical failures, power outages, or human interference. Manage and coordinate all aspects of recovery plan implementation and efforts, including initial emergency response, recovery procedures, and business resumption processes. Inform, educate and train internal teams on responsibilities concerning business continuity and emergency response; maintain interactions with internal and external customers. Collaborate with technical and compliance teams to maintain business continuity plans. Facilitate annual tabletop tests and address identified gaps with the technical owners. Ensure equipment, systems, services, and facilities comply with disaster recovery plans and procedures. Participate in IT audits and assessments and contribute to disaster recovery plan testing. Conduct simulations and test runs of disruptions to revise and improve plans. Investigate and select locations for off-site data and backup storage. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Stay current with developments in disaster recovery and business continuity. Serve as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert for BC planning and recovery objectives. Lead meetings with stakeholders to assess program strengths and resource needs; present recovery capabilities to leadership for feedback and approval. What We'll Love About You Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six+ years of experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, or a related discipline. 1+ year of experience administering Oracle database technologies in a corporate environment. Preferred certifications: CBCP, CDRE. Knowledge and Skills Working knowledge of disaster recovery principles and IT risk management. Strong problem-solving, time-management, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and interfacing with stakeholders. Project management, analytical, and communication skills; customer service oriented. Confidentiality, self-starter attitude, and willingness to stay current with trends. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.). Compensation and Notices The base pay posted is one component of SFM’s total compensation package. Salary ranges depend on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and internal equity. Work Environment and Physical Demands Regular attendance is required.
