Human Resource Consultant 2 | WCC at State of Washington. Full Time | Permanent. Location: Washington Corrections Center | Shelton, WA. Salary Range: $5,011 - $6,735 Monthly. This position is not eligible for telework. The candidate of choice must work in the facility at the Washington Corrections Center daily. Provide consultation, advice, guidance and support to managers, supervisors, and staff regarding multiple and diverse human resource issues and processes in the areas of recruitment and selection, compensation, classification, diversity and inclusion, employee supervision, and employee leave. Support employee relations and labor relations, including interpreting and clarifying Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), Federal Law, Washington Administrative Code (WACs) and Revised Code of Washington (RCWs), and other personnel policies/procedures. Advise on corrective and/or disciplinary actions, performance and development plans, and appropriate use of development actions. Input and monitor personnel actions, maintain electronic and physical files, and coordinate with payroll on leave issues and pay adjustments. Process and review performance and development plans (PDP) and Position Description Forms (PDF); administer the CBA Bid System; work on special projects as assigned. Qualifications

What we need (required qualifications):

High school graduation or equivalent Two years of broad-based human resources experience Note:

College-level coursework may substitute year-for-year for up to one year of experience. 30 semester or 45 quarter credits equal one year of substitution. What will make your application stand out (preferred qualifications):

Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with focus in business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or related field Two years of professional-level HR experience solving HR problems Six months or more experience using NEOGOV and HRMS S/PHR or IMPA-HR certification SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification Supplemental Information
