Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Human Resources Division seeks a

Human Resource Consultant 2 – HRMS (HRC2)

to deliver impactful HR support at the Natural Resources Building, Olympia, WA. The position is full‑time, permanent, and offers partial telework flexibility where available.

Reporting This role reports to the Human Resources Data and Reporting Manager.

Key Duties

Oversee and participate in Peer‑to‑Peer audit processes of HRMS transactions, create and maintain audit processes, train HRMS processors, and perform audits ensuring transaction accuracy.

Provide training to HRMS processors on HRMS and related systems; create user guides and desk manuals; consult with the HRMS Data & Reporting Manager on policy updates.

Process personnel transactions, onboard new employees, conduct position and organization transactions, and perform necessary determinations and adjustments in HRMS; explain HR rules and collaborate with payroll.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, administration, business, or related field, or equivalent education/experience.

Experience in an HR or related setting, with proficiency entering/retrieving data from an HRIS.

Experience with basic arithmetic, training others, multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.

Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information Travel less than 5% of the time. Relocation compensation available. Salary: $5,011.00 - $6,735.00 monthly.
