CHC Addiction Services is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat, inspire, support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction. CHC has been a critical part of Ohio’s efforts to treat and prevent substance use disorders since 1974. We are looking for Counselors/Therapists to join our Outpatient team. Outpatient Counselors provide direct service to our Outpatient clients through both individual and group counseling, evaluating assessments, facilitating a timely and appropriate treatment plan, and coordinating said plan with available agency services and the community. CHC will provide your own private office, quality supervision, and ongoing training and CEUs. Outpatient Counselor Position
Is Full time, 40 hours a week, generally Monday-Friday, but may include some weekends/evenings. Some positions may start as early as 5:30am. Offers paid time off after 6 months Pays a Competitive salary based on license Offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and retirement Duties
Interview patients, coordinate assessment, summarize and evaluate problem areas and patient strengths, develop treatment plan, complete appropriate case management and review as per agency procedures, provide individual, group, and/or family counseling to assigned cases in accordance with CHC policies and procedures and the Code of Ethics, completing thorough and concise documentation of each step of the patient's treatment, participate and present patient cases weekly in clinical supervision meetings and seek additional professional consultation as needed. Have a Master’s Degree Hold an active Ohio license to counsel as an LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, LCDC III, and/or LICDC Preferably have at least one year of clinical experience treating patients with substance use disorders We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and Provider of Services. Job details
