This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.

Responsibilities This position is for a pain board‑certified/eligible physician. This physician will be responsible for evaluating pain patients in both the outpatient and inpatient setting. The physician will perform various interventional pain procedures, including epidurals, radiofrequency ablations, joint injections, sympathetic blocks, neurolytic blocks, spinal cord stimulator therapy, intrathecal pump therapy, etc. The position also includes management of acute, inpatient, and cancer pain including consultation and regional anesthesia techniques. There is the possibility that this physician will provide general anesthesia services on an as‑needed basis. The candidate is expected to participate in clinical teaching of medical students, residents, fellows, and other providers.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days per year (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, possible 5 days paid CME absence)
